*SPOILER WARNING*
they were all(the charachters at the hotel) were seperate personalities of that fat dude strapped down/ having a competency hearing. the 'real' people were everybody not at the hotel. the special treatment/medication stuff was making all fatguys seperate personalities 'battle(i guess thats the word)' till there was only 1. the quiet little kid(like all kids) was the original evil mastermind 'timmy' that was behind everyones death, at the end he killed the orange grove hooker, leaving him in charge of fatguys body. the doc thinks fatguys evil personalities are gone, but at the end timmy makes his move.

i am timmy macleod of the clan macleod, there can be only one!!!!!!!

you must be kidding, or you have just read a spoilreview from it or something.. I saw it this friday.. It was OK.. Cool entertainment..

I knew from the start that that little kid was the killah-dude..

One thing I don't understand is why they thought both that hysteric girl and the boy would have died when the car exploded.. they didn't give a damn in searching for them or whatahell.. in that moment it was clear. that the little sidecombed boy was the "evil personality"

i was kidding, of course i saw it. hours ago.
yeah, it was a decent movie, though i suspected what was going on when the doctor said the guy had many personalities, but didnt want to think that was the plot because all the personalities happened to be the type of generic characters that are in every damn movie since 1990.

i figured the kid was the villain(well, i always just assume that kids are evil) after his mom died in the hotel room, he was the last one to visit her before dieing.
i still wonder how the kid could have rigged that car to explode. i would guess he made some kind of bomb, but couldnt see when he would have had the time to do it.

oh, well. i think we've learned an important lesson: dont trust kids.

a lot of people are saying how "great" this movie was, but i found the big twist incredibly stupid. yeah right that must be how Schizophrenia and Multiple Peronality Disorder work i guess. it was competently made and with a good cast, but how every new revelation was a big 'UH-AH!'-moment, like when we see Ray Liotta tacking off his jacket and blood on his shirt, the music, camera, that was extremly dopey, i expected the screen to go black for a moment like in those tv-shows. the other twist with the kid was not too hard to guess, but it is said that there is another version of the ending, the Theatrical Cut, anyone got info on that?
a lot of people are talking about "the movie of the year", i don?t get it.

PS: maybe there should be a spoiler warning in the header?

First of all, it was predictable form the very beginning to the pathetic ending. Besides, I hate flicks that involve some pseudo-science (pseudo-psychiatry in this case) and then thier creators boast about how "realistically the movie illustrates the way a psychotic mind works". C'mon people, what was so great in this movie? This is not even how multiple personality disorder works, and this was the idea underlying the whole plot!

Plus Liotta, one of the first ten on my Most Hated Actors list.

i didnt mind the movie. then again, i had never heard of it till i watched it, so i missed the hype. now that i think of it, i probably havent watched any regular tv in almost a year, so i dont know what im supposed to think is 'good'. i didnt see anything groundbreaking or insightfull in 'identity', its not one of my favorites and i probably wont watch it again anytime soon(maybe in a year or 2), but it was somewhat interesting, i wouldnt go as far as saying it was entertaining. i guess i would call it 'adequete'
