i meant to mention this before, but u may want to block doubleclicks ip ranges if u use imdb. err, you may want to block them anyway, as they are just a marketing/spyware/tracking service. not really a big deal, just an annoyance, though them having a database of all the movies i look up on imdb is crap. they take the info from my browser, then send crapmail/spam to the email address set as my browsers default.

216.230.65.64-216.230.65.79
is the hit i get when i follow an imdb from this forum. they have a rather large sets of ip ranges, there are many many more besides the above.

HOSTS, eh?

i got a few sites that have quite a bit ip's to block of crapware spysites. i used to have a list updated everycouple hours when i used emule, but dont bother now. i end up just blocking every ip# cept a few sites i go to and mi amigos. i look thru the logs every once and a while and am surprised at the ip#s that want in, and the frequency and methods they try(rpc/exploit bugs seem to be popular).
