And that fact alone almost guarantees a sequel.

Looking forward to H7 though, I though the last 2 were pretty good (controversially, as most people I know hate them)

H1= Classic (although a little dated)
H2 = Classic
H3 = Pile of shite easily the worst
H4 = Smaller pile of shite, good intentions bad execution
H5 & 6 = Reinventing the Hellraiser series, less focus on Pinhead et al and more focus on the story, a little hackenyed, but kinda like the old comics (if anyone remembers them!)

5&6 get slated because Pinhead is hardly in them (about 2 minutes in 5 and maybe 5 in 6!), It's kinda like Halloween III (i.e No myers)

Speaking of which, does anyone else think that the proposed Michael Myers Vs Pinhead is the most stupid idea in films ever??

I thought 5 and 6 were OK, not spectacular but not shit either.

As for Myers vs Pinhead, now that is just dumb. I am no expert on the Halloween series, but aint Myers basically human? He certainly aint in pinheads league, a short fight in my opinion.

pinhead wouldn't even bother playing with the likes of myer. (and I certainly hope mr. Barker wouldn't allow it)

After seeing Hellraiser 3, I don't think Clive Barker gives a toss.

Not necessarily. If Pinhead just wanted to kill Myers: yes. But usually this is a bit too boring for him. If he wants to torture Myers it might be a very annoying experience. Could be an interesting plot if Pinhead is desperatly trying to find something human in Myers he can use as lever to get his satisfaction :D

I personally love the Hellraiser 5,6 more than anything :) (Me is a big fan of the old comics indeed, tons of amazing stories by Neil Gaiman etc etc)

Funnily it didn't do too good in the UK. Just 3 weeks in the top 10 and just over ?2m in takings.

i like the whole hellraisor series. not really my favorite, but it is entertaining. i liked part 3 ok, part 4 was good enough, part 5 was decent, though not much cenobyte/pinhead action going on. i though part 6 was basically the same as part 5, not bad but not that good, i wouldnt have minded an actual plot twist in it- something like the lead character was actually alive and everything turned out just fine. that would have been original, if he just learned from his mistakes and been a good boy from then on,scared straight. i doubt anybody would expect that one.

the original version of part 4 was supposed to be massively different, twice as long and with a better story arc. butchering it made the director change to one of my favorites 'alan smithee'. the future merchant guy was pretty cool i though, though almost every other character besides the main 3 had any sort of development, i doubt most even had names. i got the original script(as far as i know) a ways back, and it is very different from the end version.

heheh, 'hell world', poor dude puts his weenie in a hornets nest and gets in on with it. man, explain that one to your doctor.
