Customer Services / Support

WTF do they let retards work for customer services? I'm guessing that at least one user of this site will work, or have worked in customer services but god damn some of you people need to be drown...

I can understand just being ignorant to some of the aspects of product/company information, there's a lot of products and a lot of things to know sometimes... but why the f*ck try and answer something you know nothing about? WHY? Every god damn time, you send an email to customer support and they come back with some of the most retarded shit that you can possibly imagine... and a lot of the time it has sweet f*ck all to do with anything! Its got to the point where i now sign my mails to customer support with "If you don't know the answer, can you please forward it on to the appropriate representative / department who specialise in this area" or something similarly phrased to request that if they don't know, do not attempt to friggin answer because it just wastes time. Maybe I'm a little harsh, but I don't want someone guessing... i can guess, if it means a delayed response fine, just forward it on to a superior or colleague and reply saying the message has been sent to the appropriate department pending 'specialist' attention or something similar; BUT DON'T F*CKING GUESS FOR PETE'S SAKE!!!!!!!

There's countless other aspects of customer support that's annoying, but imo this is the biggest problem with the whole thing.

mine was actually to three different customer support groups, all three of which directed me to one of the others.

Thus far i've pointed both of them to their own websites to correct them and have now asked them to pass their mails onto someone who can answer my questions. I expect the same people to reply and ignore that request :outsider:

Here, i think most call centers are sent to india.

and the whole knife thing, that's what i like about the USA, you don't run into knife fights, here, we just shoot 'em.

My response would have been more like, 'It'll cost more for everyone, but you've got to wear a condom. any weird stuff will be expensive.'

...I love it when they tell you "well that, normally means...." when they`ve obviously never even had a sniff of normal in thier entire lives.

..I once had a guy from the council say to me, after I phoned up cos one of my friends heating system wasnt working so she had no hot water or heating at 11pm in December...

..so what he said was, and get this "we dont send people out unless there`s risk to life & limb", bear in mind that this girl was 5 months pregnant so i say "so what if she like freezes to death?"

..this guy says..."oh we wouldnt be liable it`s in out terms and conditions on our website...thats its no longer considered an emergency......a lot of things have changed in our contract recently."

..and so....it`s such a good job there`s no such thing as class action or punitive damages in this country or for that one statement they`d be well and truely fucked.....as I record all my calls, if they can do it "for training and quality purposes" then so can I...

..the dude did get "disicplined" but my mate didnt get $2000 for them being negligent and $12 million in punitive damages for hurt feelings or sprained eyes.......

..oh well....

I am sad to read this and agree with what you guys say considering poor support.

I worked as IT service support staff for a consulting company. But it was due to my personality that I couldn't send sh*t or something I was not sure about to anyone who contacted me. If I didn't know the answer there were others to ask - or the internet to search.

You really are a lazy m*th*rf*ck*r if you don't care about the customers who even pay you for the support.

This years first organisation of arseholes goes to the incompetent Network Rail. A company that is so utter incompetent that a major landslide ends up costing £4 million to move a bit of mud and restore a small bit of track (are they using a f*cking teaspoon?), a company that despises its own customers who despise them 100x more, a public sector company that for all lengths of justice should be burnt at the stake but can't since its in the service sector... a company that has rail opertators actively engaged in price hikes whilst is actively engaged in plans to reduce service.

Network Rail may, in fact, be the biggest groups of arseholes of the millennia.

That is a train, if you see one... its likely you are not travelling on Network Rail infrastructure.

Network Rail contract all their work out to Carillion who get most of their short term labour via Sky Blue agency (who I believe Carillion own). I've just applied for one of those jobs & they are paying... £20-£25 per hour :o
Now correct me if I'm wrong but theres no skill involved in shovelling shit so why the hell are they paying so much for it?
If this is what the man at the bottom is being paid, how much is the person telling him what to do on? & the guy above him etc...

The thing is, contractors take the piss when they price up jobs for major companies coz they know they will pay it. Its the customer who foots the bill in the long run & train fares are ludicrously expensive. Gone are the days when you can get a cheap day return thats cheap & as for savers... saving what?

A saver to get to Inverness from where I used to live was £170 2 yrs ago, was cheaper to get on a plane as that was only £95.

I am sat here laughing my fucking arse off. This shit is standard practice in all sectors of public transport. For me it is the single reason I refuse to use public transport.

Is this because of privatising the railway company?

Since they did that in my country, prices went up and service went down. The railway company blames it on the company which is supposed to maintain the railways, but then again: it is at least also partially their own fault. Now the government has said the following: if they can have 80% of the trains running on time, they will get their government funds. I don't get paid if I only work for 80%, so why not asking for a higer percentage?

I do use public transport, because
1) it is better for the environment and
2) cars cost a lot of money, even if you DON'T use them.

Oh, and believe it or not, but it takes me only 5 minutes longer to get to work when using public transport than when I'd use a car.

It is because they are shit, they were before and they got worse.

I don't use public transport because it is many times faster and still cheaper to use my car than public transport.

If I used public transport it would cost me £13 and take 1 hour 15 minutes. If I drive, and it is only 11 miles, it takes me 20-25 minutes. See the difference?

Ironically, since the government is forcing drivers off the roads, 2 years ago it would have cost about half as much and taken under 40 minutes. The direct route is no longer open to buses due to "traffic calming". Now the buses cannot travel down a nice fat road, instead they get shunted down side roads and have an added 9 miles on the trip.

Can anyone see the fucking sense in that?

It depends on where you live and where you work at. For me public transport would be an option, but would take much longer. I would lose 1 hour each day if I took the train.

Btw. I hate countries where the government is impotent of keeping their "property" under control. They sell it to companies to earn benefits and fill the treasury. It is like admitting that we are totally stupid and can't make things function well. They have a dumb minister for every little shit. Why can't they manage the things they are responsible for?

That is why the Horsemen are soon to be assuming control of the globe.

Politicians always come across as the people least qualified to be n charge. Does the phrase "out of touch with reality" mean anything?
