I just searched for those lists you mentioned, EvilDeadlyImmortal, but all I could find were topics about "lists are down".

So if you could send them to me, that would be very nice :beerchug:

After I added all URL's it said that not all lists could be found, does that mean the BlueTack lists are unavailable for everyone?

When I finished it said I should look for updates, but there were none. Right now I'm still blocking the same amount of IP's.

First of all, I didn't tweak my PG2, i'm using PeerGuardian 2 2.0 Beta 6b and I've only add three extra lists that i've found on the BlueTack forum a long time ago (they are out of date, anyway).

Alright, here's how to do :

Open PeerGuardian 2, and click on List Manager, just look :

Image

Now, click on ADD, and look how much and which lists I have :

Image

Now, choose ADD URL, and choose the list(s) you want to put on your Block Lists. Take a look again ! :

Image

So, now that you have enter all the list you want (maybe except Microsoft's one, cause MSN don't work here if I put it in) just close that window, and go make an update, on the main windows of PG2, click on Update, and check out what happen. Don't worry if the first time it doesn't work, try again, and maybe a third time, cause me (probably Vista) the first time don't work, he find nothing, and then, he find something... weird but I don't care ! (Vista  ) So, just take a look, me, all the list from BlueTack work and only three lists from the PeerGuardian web site don't work anymore :

I hope this will help somebody ! Enjoy and if other help needed, let me know... And about an other way to get the updated lists, I don't know, so if anybody know, let us know !!!

And Slayer, with all those list, I block 3029911464 IPs, just look at the first picture, you'll see, and if you check all the four pictures, you'll see that i'm not liying, all the lists I have give me that number.

btw, I think we should move our ass to the PG2 Topic before Spud or PC_A tell us to !

Thanks a lot for the illustrated help. I'll check this out next week.

Btw. GZip is used under linux/unix so that is probably the problem why it doesn't work.

I had done all that yesterday already, except for trying to update several times. This time it worked, thanks mate!

The amount of IPs I'm blocking now is 2865373129.

Cool ! 8) btw, are you running XP or Vista, cause if you have the same problem on XP, it mean that it's not Vista that cause that kind of update problem, it's PG2, or the list, or the server... ?

Well, PG2 need an another version, like 2.1 or 3.0, it been a long time since no software update... and a version that work 100% on Vista x64, cause i'm using Vista x64, and PG2 bug sometimes when I update my lists, and PG2 DON'T block any UDP connections, only TCP ones as I've said before... anyway, let's hope a new version is near ! :?

Well, you posted that they are outdated. Can't hurt to have them, but do you think it will still be useful?

Any of you that use PG notice an increase in mediadefender ip's being blocked?

Author:  Slayer [ Tue Dec 04, 2007 8:26 pm ]
Post subject:

I noticed them being blocked, but I don't know if it's an increase, since I never checked before I did all this updating.

Holy shit, I don't even have any MediaDefender TCP blocked for the past two month !!! I think it's worse than you buddy ! I've made a search in PG2 History, for the past two months and nothing ! I don't know why, I didn't even check that before. But, I most said if you didn't read my last post in this topic, that I have Vista x64 and PG2 is not working with Vista right now, and yes, you're gonna tell me that there is a RC 1 Test 2 available, but what do you think, i've already tryied it with no sucess, don't know why, i've followed the instruction on the PG2 Forum, and it didn't work, so, i'm waiting for a real version that will work, it may take a while, but at least I have this one, the Win98 version that don't have any driver so I can install it, and he's blocking all TCP Incoming Connection, no UDP... so...

And I have all the Block Lists available in the PG2 List Manager + 3 extra lists (level3, rangetest, templist) so, if YOU can block MediaDefender and not me, maybe it's my fuc**** Vista !! :matrix:

And what is the name that appear in your History, is it : MediaDefender or something like that, or some other name that YOU know it's MediaDefender ???

Yes there is some Media Defender traffic blocked here. The problem is that PG2 doesn't show the date (only the time) when I search my history. So I have no idea when those packages were blocked. But it isn't much traffic.

With me, it's goes on and on like that. But heck what do i expect with 1159289112 IPs blocked :wacky:

I think it's cause of the files you're downloading that you have such MediaDefender IPs blocked. Cause me, when I run uTorrent, I have some Anti-P2P compagny that appear in my PG2 log that doesn't appear when i'm only running eMule, and since i'm not using uTorrent so much as before, it maybe the answer why I don't have those MediaDefender IPs.

So, are you guys running a Torrent Client or just eMule... ?

I don't like the torrent concept. I'm using eMule only. Sometimes MegaUpload.
