Holy fucking shit, I just finished reading this, I was depressed before I saw this, now I am almost wetting myself laughing.

Oh and I have just built myself a Stargate, yeah it is made from woodchippings held together with wood glue. I sprayed it silver and now it works. It is connected to a steam turbine that generates huge amounts of electric, but I have a matter/antimatter reactor on the way.

The bandwidth was pretty low though, it took 4 hours to send a person to Uranus, but I am upgrading it by adding a 600 Mhz processor that will give me 7Gig of upload speed.
