Post subject:  Why does everyone in Spain drive a lawnmower?
Okay, this has been bugging me... does anyone know why Spaniards insist on driving the noisiest, lowest powered car/bikes known to man? I nearly burst out laughing when I see them drive past on the noisiest lawnmower engine powered bike I've ever heard at the grand old top speed of 4mph. You can see them flooring it but being overtaken by a biddy on foot!

The funniest thing is, the noisier the bike/car the slower it goes! Now I'm pretty sure there's other nations that have a similar ratio of shit vehicles noise / slowest humanly possible speed, but Spain so far is the winner for me.

So does anyone know why they lack the capacity to drive around on anything that even remotely resembles a normal mode of transportation invented in the past 10-20 years? :lol:

LMAO when I was in Spain recently all the mountain folk were driving these weird little fucked up cars. They were fricking tiny, something useless like a 400cc engine, they roared around at walking speed.

They were pants LOL Most amusing watching them struggling up the tiniest of hills.

Spanish roads are fun, especially when you are more out in the country where they still hate everyone. They pretty much drive at you laughing.

Come to think of it, that happened to me in Oz, France, Belgium, Greece and Germany.

Hang on, I can see a pattern emerging here.

Only been to Barcelona where I didn't notice this kind of transport: everyone used public transport, cabs or cars.

I have only been to Mallorca and they all use cars there. The teens there seem to have established a "pimp my car" motto. :roll:

I once had a CZ 125. Actually quite a beast once it had been toyed with a little, but definately my most embarassing bike.

As Takyon mentions above, I've seen the craze for total biscuit-arsed clown-cars in various places. Never been to Spain so I can only assume it's quite a thing over there.
