T'internet is a hive of misinformation.....

Howard Devoto was the original Buzzcocks singer, on the Spiral Scratch EP and the Stockport Attic demos which were released as the Times Up bootleg (later re-released officially).

Steve Diggle also sings lead vocals on a number of tracks.

Wish I was. I've only seen them the once, at Manchester Apollo in 1989, it was the classic Shelley/Diggle/Garvey/Maher line-up though.

omg, guys, i shook hands with pete shelley....i got so excited, i was over the moon.... they were absolutely brilliant, i couldn't fault them. the first band that was on were punks not dad, they were fab. can't remember the name of the 2nd band, bit emo ish. third band were strawaberry blondes, they were quite good. had punks not dead cd for free, no-one could find the seller or knew how much it was, so they just give it me....sad it's all over now...have to go thru my pics, if they came out and show you them. i hate it when i come home, it's a bit of a downer!!! still, i had a brill night,
