Havent these old farts retired yet? They've only made commercial boring crap for the last 20 yrs :googley:

Expensive looking video but bland song with typically dull chorus lyrics. :wacky:

Brave New World is one of my favourite albums of all time, new or old Maiden.

New album is dissappointing to say the least, even the previous two albums had memorable songs.

All chart positions confirmed to date are as follows -

No. 1 -- Arabia, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Finland, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK
No. 2 -- Australia, Belgium, Holland
No. 3 -- Ireland, Poland, Turkey
No. 4 -- USA
No. 5 -- Singapore

Is probably why they haven't retired.

I've really had one listen when I bought it, but its just no where near as good as Brave New World which is an awesome album.

yes brave new world is the best 2000ish maiden album so far... dance with the death was ok... a matter of life and death, just horrible.. finale frontier, an ok album and i feel it is going more in the rigth direction. but hopefully on the next album they will go back to short song formula. anyway my fav maiden album is 'killers' and 'powerslave'.......

Well, Eddie would be an excellent foe for a movie. I would see it for sure.

I really, really like the new Maiden album.
From start to finish, well the album could do without the 5 minute intro and the final song.

But everyhthing else gives me a severe case of  personal favorites are the songs starblind and the alchemist.
For me it's just how i want Iron Maiden to sound and although I think the best albums they did are seventh son...... and Somewhere in time.
This one suits me well, but I always liked maiden, even the albums with blaze have some songs to my liking.

Even my daughter likes the new one, she starts yelling in the car when i turn off the cd player hahhaahahhaha

coming friday the pre-sale starts for the european tour 2011 gig they will be doiing in Arnhem / Holland

Hope I can get me some tickets , and i have a gut feeling that this still might be the last tour.

What did you think of Brave New World? That for me is the best iron Maiden album by such a long way, then its back to the classic albums. Post Brave New World, they haven't really presented an experience, its just some generic heavy music, Bruce's voice just doesn't seem to hit the mark and there's no real melody.

Maybe its because I prefer songs like Rime of the Ancient Mariner, rather than heavy/no melodic songs

Well, I remember that I was quite suprised when I heard of Bruce's return to maiden and was quite anxious to hear what they would come up with since adrian also returned to the band. And I must admit I really liked the BNW album and even do so till this day.

The only thing that which disapoints me a bit is, and this started with the two albums with Blaze, that the band is doing these folky bass oreintated intro's acompanied with some moody added guitar licks. BNW had some of these intro's and after that every album had some songs which start of like that. I'm not a big fan of these song structures.
But despite these minor dislikes, im just a big Iron Maiden nerd..................... they just can't do me wrong.

We could have another topic of bruce's solo material, which sometimes even top maidens work
the accident of birth and the chemical wedding albums are just pure gems !!

below, my opinion on the Maiden the albums, but please note that even when I think an album is horrible, i still can find something in there I like

1. horrible
2. mediocre
3. ok
4. great
5. fantastic
6. amazing (my personal favorite)

1. iron maiden - great
2. killers - fantastic
3. number of the beast - great
4. piece of mind - great
5. powerslave - great
6. somewhere in time - amazing
7. seventh son of the seventh son - fantastic
8. no prayer for the dying - mediocre
9. fear of the dark - ok
10. the x factor - mediocre
11. virtual x - horrible
12. brave new world - great
13. dance of death - ok
14. a matter of life and death - great
15. the final frontier - great
