Would be nice to closely integrate with social networking, would love to be able to quickly post across news, etc. and get community involved.
I've been working with DJango recently and its a really wonderful framework for writing websites, maybe I can take a redesign of the site on-board as an educational project?

One word of warning on facebook and this is agnostic to this particular; privacy! Before joining any groups:
Click "Account", then privacy settings and set it to "Friends Only" or "Custom" (I use the latter). On top of this, I would recommend clicking "View Settings" under "Connecting on Facebook". Here you can hide your friend's lists, etc.

If you don't do this, any networks, google, etc. can get at your details. This is important if you add a lot of apps to your facebook.

I also filter my family, co-workers, etc. as well, just so I don't offend anyone with the wall posts

i guess there aint no point in posting any ed2k/torrent links here anymore when you go fcb public, every regular joe and rats will know about this place. i like the anonymous setting here at hhah, that was our little cornerstone in the www...

you are off your tits as usual d0c

It would only be news, community and reviews on that side of the fence. Whilst for the seedy side, it would have to be coded to be more of an indexer. The thing that we'd need to be careful about would be ensuring there's no relationship between public and private accounts. There's a reason google traffic is rather high still and its because I seo'd the fuck out of the site years back. I think that's also how the spambots find us though  . The modern approach is social networking as a means of growing a community. Nobody is going to post links on there, its largely irrelevant beyond that fact that news updates will be published directly to the site that a lot of people spend many hours on a day ;)

I think the real problem with this site in its age is the former has dropped a tad, and people are just leeching the content (not that that's a bad thing); would be nice to see people join in more.
