Here's some interesting stats, page views for the 'main page' have dropped but forum remains at the same level of hits:

As you can see, the forum gets more search and referrals than direct users which means, in an overly simple way, that people just aren't sticking around/ bookmarking, etc. and more traffic comes from google and other sites. From the frontpage, guests usually hit a single page and leave. The main page portal is all about content and nobody posts any regularly, so i guess that's clear

Yeah and I'm two months behind mainpaging films. About that: what I read above is not so good for the frontpage, right? Maybe we should think about an alternative way to offer the films? Make it more attractive to click some?

Filtering out filters, searches and restricted views its something like:

1) High Quality
2) Non-Horror
3) Low Quality
--- Massive Gap
4) Register
--- Big Gap
5) Torrent and NZB (parent forum)
6) Torrent Section
7) The BeetleJuice Thread -> viewtopic.php?t=17154
8 ) Movies (parent forum)
9) Games
10) Login

After the register its ~600 'page views' each, various topics etc. Total 26,426 analyzed pages of 'content'.

Or we just drop the concept of the 'main page' and push the forum to the front, or at least strip it to down to just news. Problem is that we wouldn't get any hosting funds from ads (there are no ads on the forums).
