Fuck that, as some of you may know I am a smoker and NOT a drinker. Shit, last night I was obliterated. I had a considerable supply of weed, but also ended up doing 9 pints of cider and a massive amount of peanuts?!?!?!?

Needless to say the result was not good, several sessions in the bog with stuff flying out my face, and an almighty hangover this morning, well this afternoon.

Fully recovered now and smoking away again LOL My body will rebel against me one day, but not this day ;-)

Hope you all had as good a time as I did.

Oh, and I had my new camera for pictures. Somehow I ended up with just 8 photos, all of them of my wifes mates arses. All but 2 of them were simple 'bend forwards and hoist the skirt up jobs', a nice selection of underwear on display LOL, but the other 2 were slightly more risqué. Fortunately the wife trusts both myself and her friends so she was mostly OK with it, just a few comments. :drunk:

My musical tastes have progressed, I am actually quite eclectic when it comes to music. Have not had time to check out Black Ice yet.

I will have a listen though, just need to be in the mood for certain music.

Progressed to what? Is this one of those progressed/regressed things?

AC/DC are one of the only hard rock bands I can listen to that blend classic rock with hard rock. I can listen to Iron Maiden too, but mostly I too find heavy metal very childish and the trash stuff poor. Very controversial probably for this site (and seeing the heavy metal thread in misc), but I need a rythm and a lead singer that can carry a song. Too much thrash/death crap that a) the musicians can't play b) the singer can't sing... too much 'slipknot' crap about these days.

Check out Decibel on the new album, that's probably the best song on the album.

In my brain progressed and regressed are pretty much the same. My shit is just all over the place when it comes to music.

I am totally with you in regard to needing a rhythm and someone who can actually do something with their voice, Slipknot and that style are fine when my brain just wants noise, and that is worryingly frequent lately  As a rule it is not the kind of thing I would put on for "casual" listening, it is most certainly very specific to certain moods and a certain frame of mind. I find I often listen to it when my mind is racing, it kind of drowns everything out.

I think I stopped listening to rock, of any variety, about the same time I got into Jazz. I believe this is something that should be rectified, and I aim to do so in the not too distant future. Rock was, at one time when I was younger, my most listened to genre, lots of good memories.
