I don't think they want to/are allowed to talk about it. I asked 2 admins and received no reply, and they are both people who usually chat to me.

BTW this topic is showing up as being created by me, it was actually created by jan3594, this will be because it had a topic of mine merged into it, the same as the say hello thread showing as being created by Ferox whereas it was actually d0c.

Swedish anti-piracy group Antipiratbyr?n (APB) has been disciplined by the country's Data Inspection Board for breaking privacy data rules in its hunt for illegal file-sharers.

ABP used special software to record the IP-addresses of file swappers, the file name and the server through which the connection was made, Sweden's The Local says. The company, a private organisation, reported hundreds of people to the police recently and has sent up to 2,000 emails a day to internet service providers notifying them of abuse.

ABP believed that there is nothing illegal about collecting IP addresses, but linking them to an individual can't be done without permission, Swedish Data Inspection Board now says.

It isn't the first time that ABP?s actions have been questioned. Earlier this year, Swedish ISP Bahnhof pondered legal action after it emerged that illegal material uncovered in a raid on its premises was placed there by a paid informant of ABP.

Yeah, don't you think the mpaa take things a little too far beyond their legal rights? They really think they are the fbi or something, I reckon if things develop enough they'll carry guns and locate addresses of 'pirates' and go in and threaten them. :o

The law counts invasion of privacy and stalking a much more serious crime than downloading a movie, yet they don't seem to be addressed in serious enough terms here.

Well shit, they managed to get them involved in the shutdown of ET. Fuck terrorists, movie pirates are obviously a much bigger priority.

nice find, lots of chow... ratios are a lot fairer than most sites like that, but there's a really low leech count on most discs which means it will take ages to get the ratio up, which isn't good at 4.3GB a pop.

Most of the discs I would download i intend on buying from their.

From Beijing with Love, God of Cookery + king of comedy... might grab bio-zombie though :)

KaraGarga bittorrent tracker is back after a total re-design. A sleek artistic interface, lots of new features and exciting movies await at:

karagarga dot kicks-ass dot org

A few of the highlights among the new innovations are:
  • Completely new, throroughly extended category system. Yes, we have Asian. Film Noir. Exploitation. Martial Arts. It's all there...
  • Torrents can now be assigned to several categories, i.e. genres, at once. This way you can have an Asian Drama or Crime Thriller. You now don't have to forcibly pigeon-hole your favourite movie into only one category where it doesn't really fit.
  • New Three-Step Upload System (tm) - Uploading was never easier: Just type in the name of your movie and all the remaining details are looked up on IMDB and filled out for you automatically! Add some rip specs and your torrent and off you go.
  • Torrent Recommendations System - click the recommendation button on a torrent you really enjoyed and see what other people who also downloaded this torrent liked. This is a good way to find somewhat similar movies and popular masterpieces.
  • Lots of new information fields in torrents - Torrents now store seperate
information on the movie director, release year, IMDB link and much more.
  • IMDB button on browse page - While casually browsing torrents, just click the little (i) icon next to the torrent name and it will take you to the IMDB page of that movie immediately.
  • If you vote for a request in the Reqests section, you will automatically be notified via PM if someone fills that request.

... and much more.

Enjoy!

/ KG team

PS. We will be taking new members soon, so if you don't have an account, don't be sad. With the right kind of attitude, you'll probably get one.
