Hello elpunkrocko!

You should look for the DVD files on a DVD. Just joking. Why do you want the DVD files?

You can download the AVI file and convert it to DVD content on your own. It's not that difficult. Finding movies (especially old ones) in DVD format on the eMule is quite hard.

Convert XVID or something like that is shit !
Use NeroVision, it's the best and simple software to convert AVI to DVD. You can select the video and audio quality you want. And if in High Quality it's too big for a 4 GB DVD, you can use the Custom option and YOU enter yourself the bitrage that you want, so it will fit to the disc and you'll have the best quality possible... And for the Encoding methode, you can use the 2-Pass methode (High Quality) instead of 1-Pass (Fast Encoding, Lower Quality) but in 2-Pass, it will take more time to convert, but if you absolutely need it, it's your choice, but try 1-Pass first on a DVD-RW, you'll see. :D

And It's the same for the sound, you can make it 2.0 Stereo or if the AVI is in AC3 5.1, you can make it in 5.1.

Hope it will help you :googley:

Just as a side note...I got a rerip of my old rip that was posted years ago coming..needed a rerip...So that is coming..exactly when I have no idea...On the topic at hand..sounds like you are reducing your bitrate to low if you are getting blockiness during conversion...I havent' done that sort fo thing in years though.(as I don't have to...I have both standalone, comp, and no xbox :P Although I do have a 360

Yeah, a DVDRip of this could be cool, if it's your plan...

Are you talking to me on this one ? Cause I don't care about converting any AVI into DVD, I have a DVD Player that support DivX/XviD and a PS3 who can play any DivX/XviD files so... And I can plug my computer to my TV too via a DVI Cable so anyway, you got the point ! :googley:

It was just for informations, for elpunkrocko, in case he was not familiar with convertion, this is why i've suggested him to take NeroVision, it's simple and fast, and you can tweak the setting for what you want exactly... And if he or anyones want a Full Highest Quality possible convertion, buy yourself a DVD-R DL (8GB) and convert it in High Quality, it will be at the top of the top quality, the same quality the AVI got. But you can save yourself some troube in just buying the real DVD, no more pain in the ass and hours spend for all this... if you really like the movie, buy it ! :P

Yes, but you need to update it first of all ! It's new from an older version, I don't remember which one, but I have the version 2.30 and it's working just fine buddy !

*EDIT : Well i've check it out and it's from the Version 2.10 that the DivX and WMV playback are now working on the PS3, so update your PS3 to the latest version (2.30 right now) and it will work !

I don't know, I don't have a XboX 360, but if it's like the old one, the first XboX, then you'll need a new 'cracked' dashboard (you probably know what I mean...) to be able to play DivX, BUT I MIGHT BE WRONG ! I don't own a XboX or 360 so... :wacky:

*EDIT : It seems that the XboX 360 CAN play DivX, it's written on a review on this web site :

Yeah..just read up on it...you can stream it via an encoder to transfer it to asf or wmv...Probably some mod thing out for it as I dont' se any "legal" option to play divx/xvid media.

Good question, but like I just said in my last post (the EDITED one...) all DivX files should work on a XboX 360, if it's updated too, like the PS3, to the latest version, cause if not, why is it written that it work on the web site (http://arstechnica.com/journals/thumbs. ... are-update)

Now that the Xbox 360 is capable of DivX playback, gamers around the world are enjoying the ability to play well-compressed movies on their brilliant, beautiful HDTVs. PlayStation 3 owners looking to do the same will be happy to hear that the latest firmware update for Sony consoles is due on December 18 and features the ability to play back DivX and WMV movies. Here's a list of the changes in this new 2.10 update:...
