I believe there are 2 seasons of this, I know the first season was pretty cool IMO, but the last season got a bit silly, altho Adrian Paul, from the Highlander series, made it a bit more enjoyable. As for the finale, it goes down as one of the most lame cop outs ever, if ya want minor spoilers lemme know, otherwise I will keep me trap shut.

Don't have access to binaries? Don't you have an ISP? All good ISPs offer newsgroups. Check the homepage of yours. Not sure about the cheesy ones like AOL.

Like Earthlink is 'news.earthlink.net"

Pretty easy to set up. I suggest Agent, unless you just wanna DL binaries. Then us PowerGrab. It hacks through binary DLs for me pretty good. Agent's better if you want to be able to converse, but doesn't allow you to sort DLs. Just does marked ones in order of group then how you sort that group, like by poster, date, or topic. PowerGrab uses 1 queue that you can set to DL the oldest ones first.

yeah. but the 'binaries' newsgroups just aren't there. Guess my isp don't want to host them.

Holy cow! :o An ISP that carries 0 binaries groups? That's vitually 80% of all news groups. I'd say change ISPs, if you can, or look into a news group service. I've seen some real good deals. One allowed like a 6 Gig DL limit a month for like $20-30 USD. 8)

Since I get good NG service, I don't know specifics on services, but when I got this ISP, I looked into it, cause it was going through Earthlink & I was getting basically all groups, but w/ a 31 hr retention. :-o Now I have like at least all the groups I want plus like a 2 WEEK retention. Also DL speed max doubled & modem lease went down, so now paying $5 less for 2x the DL speed. UNFORTUNATELY, that doesn't affect NG speeds.

PS - I'll try & get a new MB so I can mess around w/ making 2xVCD CDs of the 2nd near complete season that I have.

Really? Than everyone I know must be lucky, cause all my firends & myself have really good news service through our different ISPs. Though I do realize that my 2 week retention is rare.
