while I was out at work 2day there was a power cut in my street and when i reloaded my mule 3 files are corrupt with the following errors. 2 were like this and although is bummer as were nearly complete at least i know what it is
Error: 039.part.met (Beyond.The.Limits.LIMITED.XViD-DigitalVX.avi) is corrupt, unable to load file
whereas with this i have no idea

Error: 038.part.met () is corrupt, unable to load file

is there any way can find out what it was/recover them?

Shut down emule before running it.

i've had that before and simply closed emule and reloaded it again and the files where ok again...weird....but thankfully they kept on d/l and completed :D

but if that don't work and you need to know what the file is you can rename the .met file to avi extension and you can preview it.....or rename the .part met (i think it was) to a text format and the title of the file is usually readable somewhere in the text.

then hope for the best

sorry i had to nip out hence the short post.

Select your emule location when prompted to, this is where you have the known.met (which stores the hashes and file details) and select your temp directory.

Then click the top right button, select the part file in question. It will compare against your known.met and then generate a new part.met.

Now start up emule and it will rehash :) The circuit was reset about 4 hrs before i posted my first response and one file was corrupt. Carrying out the above mended it and it's downloading again :)

Renaming is *not* a good idea, you will have an incomplete or corrupt file. Sometimes it plays fine, but it will have errors that aren't in the proper file and it will have a different hash.

most of the text is unreadable usually hex crap and the like but somewhere in the middle is the filename

like this

??o???t?3??itt?Š?#+?z??Mt?s??ڠ???Ԏ????rԥ?$U-*?ʴ?P?k???o????WֹU?w???i?fw?G??6QrCA?????? ب????i]??((?>?t???nFt6?3M???(4dŠ?mD??????^???u4?r??O??! Hell.Asylum.avi + ?? ??L? S
