i've changed to spuds chosen client to see what the fuss is about

Nope, my hash changed (at least I think&hope so ) only when upgrading from 0.28 to 0.29 because of it's security features.
I don't use installers but binary/zipped releases - no uninstalling of old versions, I just check what files are newer/changed in new client and overwrite old ones if necessary.

no it's changed several times i think. it changes when you switch mods ie. LSD to sivka or upgrade. I'm not sure if it changes with sivka to sivka within a emule release

my userhash has stayed the same after switching from The Black Hand to your preffered mod sivka gnaddelwarz so has Takyon's when he changed between those 2 mods

hmm i thought it was every major switch. must be wrong, i have noticed some people's changes more often when they change mod though

mine used to change every time i opened emule up!
but graag suggested i may have a corrupt preference.dat file so i got rid of it and ever since then my hash has stayed the same
