so i used CD check and managed to get it copied back onto hd :D , 29 errors showed up in cd check :o
reload my shared files and to double check i clicked the link for Splatter Farm expecting to get " you already have etc etc" but no seems the file i have has a different hash :?

Same thing happened to me awhile back and ftp2donkey worked.

here's the program: ed2k: ftp2donkey-v1.1.zip  [11.4 Kb] [Stats]

I followed the BT -> donkey guide in this section and the hash was restored.

edit: in my case the file was complete after running ftp2donkey on it then i just renamed it <whatever>.avi. You might need to copy the part files to your temp directory and hope the fooked parts are available to download.

yes, cdcheck will probably have corrupted the data for several bits.

I'm a little late on this thread, but I have just discovered the same probelm with over 263 of my disks. ARGGHHHH!!! lol the good folks over at horror charnel told me of a few programs that may be able to fix them CD/DVD Recovery, Alcohol and another I can't remember, duh. But the great thing someone there told me to invest in a Lite-On dvd burner/reader and that this one may be able to read through my poorly burned disks. Well crap I'm pretty poor but my friend has one and damn it works. So far he has been spending the last week copying all the disks I thought I had lost and is reburning them for me. So I know nothing about your other question. But get your self a Lite-On burner when ever you can, and as I have been told now a thousand times burn at the slowest possible speed. Damn I'm such a noob.

263 DVDs or CDs? :googley: I think a lot of people don't realise they are making coasters as they go along, make sure you check "Verify after burning" or a similar option and all is usually well. You might also want to avoid burning at the highest speed. Of course, cheap cdrs/dvdrs naturally degrade and CRC after some years.

Anyway, it is indeed a good idea to try and read the discs in several drives, sometimes CRCs are just a picky reader or a drive that's on its last legs.

@ Dr P. Dont know if this got figured out, but if you lick the link to start the download and import the chunks from the file on your HDD it should take most of it. Works for me everytime.
