I'm about to upgrade my WindowsXP boot disk from 80gb to 160gb what's the easiest way of doing this nowadays?

I can and will put both drives into the machine and copy all the data drop the 80 to the 160, so I don't need to backup to dvd, what software will do that and ensure that the new drive is a perfect copy and bootable?

I used to just do it in dos, but last time I did it didn't work :(

Norton Ghost has worked for me in the past.

More recently, I've discovered Hiren's Disk Tools CD, a bootable suite of ..erm.. disk tools, one of which is a drive imaging program I'm sure. :)

To use ghost do I have to back it all up to a dvd?

Or can I just image one drive to the other?

You can image the master to the slave, then switch the jumpers to make the bigger drive the master.

I believe you can do this without any problems.
