They all work AFAIK, just make sure they're named the same as the file

yup, you i remember accidently playing the wrong subs inside a rar, so i don't think they need to be named the same.

Smart idea to do it though, then it will work in any player that dumber than xbmc too. Easier not having to browse too :)

Sorry to drag up an OLD post, but......

Do any of you xbox guys no if it's possible to play 2 subtitle tracks while watching an avi on the xbox.

I want to watch Fritt Vilt & Sl8n8 with a group of english & none english people.
So need to display 2 seperate srt files while playing the film.

Don't think it can be done :(

I'm fairly sure you can't, but if you post in the xbmc forums, I'm sure they'll add the feature if possible

Yeah, after googling/searching I've found that it's listed in the unimplemented features of XBMC.....so maybe soon.

I'm sure I remember having dual subtitles runnning on a media player, so must have been zoom/bsplayer or something.

I just hoped that xbmc would have lived upto the task

its just a matter of adding another layer during playback, but its a pretty unique feature... be sure to chase up a request to get it implemented, its the quickest way you'll see it implemented :)

Yeah at a push I suppose if I REALLY wanted to I could just merge both srt's into 1 and then just position the subtitle so that both are on screen. Be a ball ache to copy/paste all those lines, but a "workable" SOLUTION..... MAYBE!
