newbie: can't download using mac?

sorry i'm a newbie here...i was trying to download a movie but i guess it doesnt work on macs? can't simply click and download the linked file....

i read the forum about emules etc. but i'm no pro on this stuff...can anyone explain how this is? and how it can work? *HELP HELP*

AFAIK, since macs are just crippled *nix boxes, any nix client should work. (sorry i had to have a dig somewhere! :lol:

A branch of emule for nix is called aMule:

And presumably, Mldonkey:
http://mldonkey.org/

That's your client options, or at least the decent ones.

aMule is relatively simple to setup, its a port of emule. MLDonkey is a bit more nixy.

I think you can use mono and use it, can't access any of the homepages from work.

Dead Donkey is a mainly ed2k link site.There's also some torrent and newsgroup links. So yeah, in order to download from here you need some kind of a emule client. Don't know much about mac versions but i'm sure there's enough info to be found.
