Probably he wants to watch movies on his DVD player (and most of those don't support softsubs).

Even though I'm a PC geek, I just down the subs and see if it works. If it doesn't it's outta here. That's when it comes down to softsubs.
However Malignus is rigt. Because I wanna watch it on my DVD player, until I get the original one (I'm a collecter. What can I say...*sigh*)

So; do you guys know where I can get a hold on software that can do some hardsubbing?

Thanx Johnathome

I definately look into that. Looks comprehensive though, but looks like it'll do the trick.

I'll report back the experiences.

i use vso convertX to Dvd ... just make sure your movie and subtitles are in the same folder... just load the movie and the subs are automatically added ... and just burn... and the subs are softcoded when you play it on your dvd.. you can turn off the subs or turn them on... im sure you can find the free software through torrents...

perhaps consider buying and modding an xbox (xbox1, doesn't have to be first hand, just working), its a lot smarter choice in the long run. That's assuming your time is valuable and you intend to download more than the odd file.

Blimey, that korean site likes to do it the hard way, its really easy & all you need is...
1.Vobsub2.23 (installed first)
2.VirtualDubMod
3.YAAI (Audio aligner)
load the film, go to filters, add textsub2.23, load in your srt file & youre off.
Go to save & switch to whichever codec you prefer, trial & error with the codec settings til you get it right & job done.
Sound out of sync? play about with YAAI to correct the offset caused by any VBR audio tracks

Not everyone wants an x-box spud & some peeps prefer hard subbed to soft subbed, each to their own

I hate advocating wasting vast amounts of time on something that can be solved with a small investment, each to their own ;) Can't understand why, its not like i have a gun and i.... hmmm now that's an idea.... :wacky:

I think i'm just going to post screenshots next time and embed an angelic chorus wav in the background
