Yeah, I got it to work with DivFix. and have saved many movies (like Axe) after that with that prog. So many thanks Bassline =)

Too bad that reshare isn't possible anymore after index rebuild

ok i've managed to get Evil Speak (1981) from irc but it does seem a little dodgy with the video..maybe some corruption :|

anyone want this added to my shared folders?

'Evilspeak' completed.. but no matter what I try, I can't get it to play. Though GSpot doesn't report any errors. I'm pretty sure I have all needed codecs (xvid) etc.

Any ideas?

But if that doesn't work i dunno what else there is that might work....but it worked for me and i'm guessing it did for Iconoclast so you might be ok :)

Eh? was that the version of Axe I posted? Cos if it was, thats's weird cos it works fine for me.

Oh BTW, please keep forest of fear for a bit longer, I'm fairly near finishing :) Thanks

Yep, that was your Axe. After index rebuild it got _a lot_ better. Can now rewind it and seems more 'stable' now :)

Ok, I throw it back in share. Just trying to make room for new releases (Madhouse) =)

@satan
nope. never used that option

last version of divfix i used with remove bad blocks would cause major a/v sync problems. i open bad movies in virtualdub/nanodub a lot. sometimes this works a lot better then divfix, but rekeying keyframes can take a loooooooooooooooooooooong time.

one thing u may want to do if u edit a lot of bad video is i made some multipurpose 1frame avi files to be 'spacers' to fix a/v sync. that divfix rewrites the avi header and makes the file not work on some variants of divx codec/4cc code.

ah, my fucking with avi's only neat thing i managed to do so far is get it to run .exe's sneakily. i was trying to make a movie file that would not always play the same files, like with a dvd alternate scenes part. i wanted an avi file that would randomly play the normal scene or the alternate scene without anybody knowing about it being spliced in, so when someone watches a movie they may notice that it didnt happen that way last time they watched it. why? to much free time on my hands.

virtual dub

file>open, check extended options dialogue option, then check the first checkbox.

video>direct stream copy, audio>direct stream copy, file>save avi as

This avoid sync issues that divx spews out all the time
