Because I recently found out how you can see who you're downloading from ( ), I started to chat within eMule. The first time was successful, but today I tried several times to send messages to other users with HHAH in their nick, but instead of a response I received the *** Disconnected every time.

Is that user really connecting and disconnecting every 30 seconds? Or am I doing something wrong?

I tried with and without adding as friends, so that can't be the issue.

lol, you discovered double click then?

if a user is greyed out they are offline, that wasn't the case was it? otherwise you generally get timeouts if they have user messaging turned off, or if your network connection to them is crappy :)

Not greyed out, a yellow smiley is looking at me :) My guess would be they have user messaging off. And of course, there's nothing I can do about that, is there?

edit: I just received a pm in which the user says he has messaging on. Anyone has any ideas how we could fix this problem? The eMule help says something about ID's, but it says nothing about how to solve such problems.

Quote from eMule Help:
Notes:
- The ID issue only affects message exchange between clients. Actual data transfer is still handled client to client
