OK, I'm pretty much now an expert on DVD ripping and have Gordian Knot set up to create quality 1CD/2CD releases!!!

But recently i tried ripping the extras from a DVD and, well, lets say Gordian Knot didn't do too good :(

All the settings are for creating 700MB rips etc based on 1/2 hours of footage.

So what would be the best way to rip a 12 minute extra???

Can any-one point us in the right direction???

I would like to start doing more comprehensive posts i.e.

Not just the film but commentaries, documentaries etc and see if they appeal??

I've used GKnot to rip music videos from DVDs successfully. Just change the value in the "total file size" box on the bitrate tab. For 12 mins 80 or 90MB would be good, depends if you want the same quality as movie rips. Just estimate the file size depending on how much shorter it would be than an average 90min movie rip. Hope this helps you out!

Right cheers!!!

I'll take my stupid hat off now!

Will use a bitrate calculator to judje the size of a file based on the time/length. I was using, instead of calculatye bitrate, the calculate file size thinking that GK would take the length of the file and re-adjust the expected size, but it was still aiming for a 700MB rip :matrix:
