Theoretically, if someone removed a user with SAM that they didn't think had any significant files, and theoretically hit the remove all files, and theoretically found out that they had done some tagging and whatever since CVS was misconfigured and the user had rights on the files.... theoretically, how screwed am I?

There's a log with several ,v etc files relating to cvs that appear to have been removed and i fear this has made some branches/tags unreadable. I hope not but I just have this nagging feeling.

Anything i can do? The projects will likely be checked out in the users work area, is there anything salvagable?!?

I'm pretty sure that users should not own the repository, it should be owned by a cvs user, but not all of it is.

err.. theoretically

ps. i friggin hate cvs, its a piss poor piece of software and the superiority of svn is, well... damn.
