I was wondering, those of you that use news, if you could answer some queries regarding effectiveness and netiquette when requesting a movie on newsgroups, mainly:

1) are requests frowned upon if you post them in a group, obviously we are past the days of downloading headers so people can easily skip out stuff but i was wondering if making a straight request post was okay?
2) does anyone actually respond to them, in your opinion
3) what's the simplest way of making a request, (ie. webform or something)

I would like a DVDr reposting (non-horror  ), but unfortunately it was posted 69 days ago on a group which doesn't last as many days (alt.binaries.boneless).

I've previously got kind volunteers to post my releases onto news, i know requests are made during rels.

I've only requested a few times, but on every occasion my request was responded to and filled :)
