hi guys.... recorded a band live on my sonyxperia t.... can't fault the video quality, but the sound is, well, crap.... can i fix this by any sort of conversion? really frustrated by the sound, any help, as you know, much appreciated :rock:

I'm afraid not, you can try filters and a lot of them, but anything you do from this point on will decrease the quality.
There's a lot of apps out there that you can remove background hums, etc. but you delete legitimate frequencies when you do that.

That said you can produce a lower quality but more desirable output.

thanks spud, i didn't think as much. i did ask my nephew who's studying IT in college, i'm sure he said there was a way, but i said i'd ask you guys first. maybe i'll have a tinker round and just hope for the best, lol. thanks again spud :beerchug:

Like i said, run it through any audio tool with some of the options and you can get it more desirable result... hell Dolby, THX is a post-processing mastering system to isolate sounds and make it sound better!

So yes, you can improve it, but its lossy by its very definition!

Anyway, try run it through:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

For example, and play with the settings.
