OK - chaps any-one had this?

Just checked my mule (0.30a sivka 10a2b) from work (web-login), and the log file is showing just a massive list of the same error :

Is it a space problem? I don't think my HD is full. But doesn't emule say:

error - Not enough hard drive space etc in the log?

And it's not a corruption error!

Whats this error and then no error :?

Aren't these potential errors from some crash? It checks the suspicious files and informs you there is no corruption, although some mistake while saving was made?

hhhmmmmm :(

I don't know

But my log is FULL of the errors for any file downloading

I'll keep an eye on it today and check when i get home.

If emule hasn't saved any extra downloads then, for some reason it's having problems writing new chucks to the .part files.

No-one had this before?

:matrix: I haven't

Perhaps because they were rehashing after a crash?

Yeah, for all intents and purposes it looks like that :?

But all the files are half complete and emule creates a dumbey file of the right size so it can't be a space prob really, becuase emule creates a 700MB .part file for an avi release but is saying it can't write to it :? :? :?

If theres no free space it pauses the file!!!

But these are still downloading at 10k etc

Am keeping an eye on it happening again!

Actually I noticed that the new Sivka has sometimes problems opening the .part files, apparently for no reason. The next time I lauch it the same files are opened properly. I believe disk space is allocated not after the download is added, but after the first chunk is downloaded.

Could someone tell me where this mod has the "check hdd space" option? I can't find it?

You're right Polityk!

Sivka creates a 0kb file untill it gets the first chunk and then creates the full .part file!!!

Not sure about the check hard drive space option!
If there is one keep us informed.

Thanks for you help Polityk

Still doesn't answer why emule is giving errors on a 40% finished file that it can't write, and then saying no error

It's not space because the file is already a full part file, so must be what Polityk says and emule is just freaking out. but like i said. 2 hours of errors every couple of seconds and now everythings plain sailing.

Yes, it's true of all eMules, but perhaps the new sivka has some bug concerning this. Especially that I read through options several times and still can't find disk control option, I'm pretty sure it was there in the previous version of sivka (or athlazan). I have the feelinh that the new sivka mod begins downloads without controlling the disk space, which may lead to such errors.

i can't find the disk option either but dont think have seen it in previous versions either (think was one of the few things i missed when changed mods as well as paused files lo-lited) BUT there is def no probs with it as when there is not enuf space it pauses downloads automatically and my log shows:
08/10/2003 11:23:18: You have insufficient diskspace to download the.boneyard.1991.Pr4y3R.elitecc.HHAH.avi!
