OK, I need some help (!) ;)
I followed the guide at DJBenz's site and everything seemed ok, after a couple of hours when the .mpg had finished I watched it and it was unwatchable :( the picture was a series of "smears" across the screen.

I checked in TMPGenc and 2 of the options in the VFAPI plugins section are listed as "unable to load" (or similar) one is DVD2AVI Project File reader and the other is Cyberlink MPEG-2 decoder (IIRC). I assume that this is what's causing the problem, but I don't know how to fix it.

Can anyone (DJ_Benz)please help ?

Goddamn newbies!! :matrix:

Actually, I'm not sure what's going on there, have you tried the TMPGEnc site, to see if there's any info there? Sounds like the plug-ins haven't been installed, you could also try http://www.dvdrhelp.com in the tools section for TMPGEnc plug-ins.

Alternatively, stop using my guide, that method sucks and takes too damn long! (Actually, there's nothing wrong with that method, it's just very involved)

A better, quicker and much much simpler way is to use DVD2SVCD & Cinemacraft Encoder 2.5, which will encode the video in half the time and give better results than TMPGEnc as well as being able to do near perfect NTSC to PAL conversion if required.

Guide here : hxxp://uk.geocities.com/misterbarlow

Sorry I can't help more :(

DVD2SCVD looks like a great app!

Does any-one have a link to a working version. All the ones I've downloaded on emule install but the cracks don't seem to work. It could possibly be my PC. But if any-ones got a version they know works then I can check it.

Cheers for the guide DJ Benz!
