simple question.... how do you get that white page when a posting a movie which has all your info and specs of the movie and has some ascii art on it too... how do you get it to show up on a white page...

yes, that's a custom bit of markup.

basically using:
Code:
[nfo][/nfo]


Puts it into a pre html mode with a console font so the ascii art and what not shows up. It also allows you to process and add links that are clickable / smileys etc.

Using such a mode as [code] would be a very bad idea as you can easily wreck a layout of the forum, have links inside code (the whole point is so you can not process markup inside code tags), etc. so we stuck it in as a new function.

So there's three:

[quote]

That's marked up, but not formatted

[code]

for instances when you don't want the forum to markup and text will appear exactly as you want

[nfo]

Is a terminal font, and no word wrapping ala. nfo file compatible... so be careful with the line length, etc. if your not pasting in nfo files.

I use nfo for specs too :)

When using the [nfo] code, why does it come up all squashed when previewing the post?

its the pre mode, i've never had time to sit down and figure it out, but its to do with the preview html markup being different to normal forum display (embedded table depth, etc.).
