Great. After recommending the DVD2SVCD & CCE route for encoding avi to dvd, I cannot get the bleeding thing to convert anything now. I get an error after the CCE conversion process from bbmpeg which says "Cannot write to output file" and the process is buggered.

Any ideas?

Tried the doom9 forums, but a search through the archives reveals nothing - even the writer of DVD2SVCD doesn't seem to know!!

Well whats giving you the error?

Sounds like BBMPEG can't do any writing. So maybe delete the bugger and re-install / overwrite?

You haven't changed ANY settings?

Did you re-install SVCD2DVD?

What about downloading a seperate version of BBMPEG (diff version then packaged with S2D?

I've had this type of problem before but with G Knot.

AVI2DVD would freeze when it came to ctreated the d2v file.

Tried the newest and the most stable version neither worked, then did a version in between and that worked :?

Go figure :|

Found out the reason was because my virus checker was running. It's one of the 1st things that gets suggested for this problem on the doom9 forum, but I'd ruled it out as I've done dozens of conversions when it's running with no probs.

Go figure. :?

Anyway, at least you guys know now if you ever get the same problem.

Glad it's sorted!!!

PC's are mad really it's always something obscure

Take this example and my G. Knot example.

Although if PC's / computers were perfect I'd (and millions of people!) be out of a job
