I'd put it down to using v0.26 with DiVX 5.05 or above. Try using XViD and see if the file size is better?

I've avoided using Divx since I started ripping, to many reported problems!

I haven't had a single problem using XviD!

It rocks 8)

Try and stick with it if ya can PrayeR.

Even DJ Benz has moved to the DarkSide [XviD] from Divx 5!!!

I never had a problem with DiVX 5.02 and below, just when it went up from there. I read somewhere, the reason that release groups don't like to use DiVX5 is because it's a commercial program and has sold-out from the open source roots of DiVX. So they use XViD because it's still open source.

Daft really, if they feel that strongly, why not just patch DiVX5 and not pay for it, therefore rubbing the noses of the commercial devlopers in it?
