Emule message: blocking versions above 0.29?

Got a few messages thru eMule recently (in German) from 2 or 3 users saying that versions above 0.29 will be blocked. What do they have against 0.30? :shock:

Fortunately it's just a small minority of users.

i thought some of the servers where doing the opposite....restricting users using less than .30

if you get another msg try and copy/paste it here so the good German speakers (Wargand/prayer/Dr Love etc) can have a look see. :wink:

maybe coz .29's have not secure identification?

I think those messages come from an older emule-mod that was made before 0.30 was officially released and there were "fake" 0.30 versions around at that time, so the developer decided to block those for some reason.
It doesnt make any sense anymore and i was flooded with those messages too a while ago. Tried to send them a message but they never replied so i just added "0.29" to the "Filter messages containing:" feature in the security options of the sivka mod because those messages annoyed me so much..

Seems straightforward to me. I've filtered it out now.
