Is there anyway to convert a bin
and cue file to an avi? I know you can convert files with TMPGenc so will this work?

Thanks
Kat

Yes, you can. I'm assuming you have a bin/cue for an SVCD?

If that's the case you don't need the cue file (the smaller one), just open the bin file with ISOBuster and navigate to the MPEG2 directory and extract the MPEG2 file.

Then you can convert the MPEG to avi by whatever method you know.

If you have a bin/cue for an avi file, for some reason, do the same but extract the avi file with ISOBuster. No conversion required. :)

yeah, you dont even need to write it to a cd. isobuster is neat-o, i have it as the default program for bin, isos, and cue files.

(Disk Inspector works better at extracting info from bad cds.)

The movie is a rare one I think I just found it it's a Stephen King
called The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer.
Can I find isobuster online for download as well?

Hmmm, never had that problem. Possibly the file is corrupt, or maybe ISOBuster can't read it. A couple of things to try:

VCDImager to keep PrayeR happy
Burn it to CD (pick 'burn image' from your burning software, and pick the 'cue' file) then copy the MPEG's off the disc. OK it'll cost you a couple of CD's but if you get what you want...............

I've also heard people recommend Daemon Tools, but I've never used it myself.

http://www.dvdrhelp.com/tools for download links for all the apps discussed here.

HTH

Take a chill pill you bugger.

ISOBuster does the same as VCDImager by the sound of it, and a bit more too. So if ISOB don't work, VCDI prolly won't either.

Don't take offence at my sense of humour.
