I don't get it.

1. Sum of all downloads=sum of all uploads, and this does not change no matter if eMule has community sharing or not.
2. Community didn't mean that only ppl from your community could download from you. They only got higher places in your queue.
3. Does this mean that friend slots will be removed too? And what next? Shared files priority?
4. Read point 1 again.

But if that's the way it has to be... *sigh* We won't escape it, everyone will have to update their mods at some point. I'm giving the new Sivka a try. It has one thing I like about it VERY much, namely it isn't so easily suffocated by Bit Torrent. I couldn't use the 30b based mods and BT simultaneously, because neither of them was getting good downloads then. It was either one, or the other. The new Sivka doesn't have this problem.

EDIT: I just noticed the new Sivka has much lower downloads than the mods I used previously. I'm going to check TBH 4 and then stay with it or return to the previous Sivka.

Thanks Polityk

PioKey's (aka knockpasheemore) new IP to ban - 217.82.140.218
Going to do this so many times as it takes.

@Purple
Add the ip to be blocked in your emule's ipfilter.dat. Like this for example:
217.224.000.000 - 217.225.121.177 , 255 , dip.t-dialin.net
217.225.121.178 - 217.225.121.178 , 000 , BLOCKED (hash stealer)
217.225.121.179 - 217.237.161.047 , 255 , dip.t-dialin.net
"Ip-Ranges of different entries cannot overlap."
Where the last numbers indicate the threat. I think FBI is also 000 ;)
# Access Levels:
# 0-126 blocked
# 127-255 permitted
And add those IP's also in your firewall block-list.

I can only hope that all other HHAH members and those who read this ban all people like PioKey. :matrix:

Don't post any ips publically please, external linking fine but please don't post anyones personal details regardless of whether they are a dick or not.

There's a board rule against posting personal details, this includes ips. External linking to ip filters is fine.

no probs. Just don't want any begrudged people coming onto the boards or anyone calling someone a leecher when they are not. I think it's best to keep all information regarding any individual unposted. This is names, addresses and ips. Just seems good practise.

What you do in PMs is of no concern to me by the by ;)

217.225.121.178 - 217.225.121.178 , 000 , BLOCKED (hash stealer)
217.225.121.179 - 217.237.161.047 , 255 , dip.t-dialin.net

Just a note here: "xxx.dip.t-dialin.net" is the main german ISP, aka ( "telekom" :). I dont think it would be too good to block a range that large. Besides users on that ISP get a new IP evertyime they reconnect, and they are being disconnected automatically every 24 hours if i remember right.

//edit: just noticed that the block might only affect that specific IP.. but still it probably wont help much anyway since the IPs on that ISP are dynamic.

Yup, I noticed that. I thought about blocking the whole ISP completely, but why make this any annoying than it is. Not worth just because one idiot. Hopefully Purple and others got this sorted out on their end. :|

Thats the reason why my personal blocker uses nicks and substrings from nicks. Of course nothing prevents assholes from changing their nicks. And for boring types with standard 'www.emule.xx' nicks this is useless as well, but still better than ip blocks.

also if the community feature has been removed from 30c i guess will be sticking with the 30b mods for the time being...i believe it helps quite a lot getting lo source files spread.

@Iconoclast when i checked last night there was traffic both ways between us so hopefully is sorted currently.
