I use a ubuntu box for serving some files and am considering, given its stability, easy ssh without cygwin and its various remoting tools.

Anyway, I need:
A newsgroup client (I'm used to newsbins as a client)
A par program (I'm used to QuickPar)

In terms of the client, if it can automatically repair and extract files... great! A web interface would also be very cool.

I understood Grabit worked in Linux, the new version repairs and extracts after downloading.

HellaNZB works as well.

sabnzbd. Runs in a browser. I've tried nearly all clients and have always gone back to this. Auto unpars and unrars, and now with built in SSL, so no more stunnel.

Thanks for mentioning this. I tried it out last night and it's excellent.
