Does any one kow of a tool that can convert VCD/SVCD mpeg failes into dvd compliant MPEG2 files?

The guides on dvdrhelp.com all use the3 same ONE tool, and it dont work for me  (SVCD2DVDMPG+)

And can't find any more tools/solutions.

From the DVDR topic earlier I'm happily converting avis to dvd MPEG with no probs but now I wont to author some (S)VCD's to dvdr.

Thanks fgor any help and after this hopefully, I'll be fully tooled up to habdle conversions all on my own!!!

So that I can fit 2/3/4 movies on 1 DVDR with menus extra.

I hate having to disc movies when I could merge the mpeg files together and author as DVD!!!

I think every possible conversion guide is available on doom9.org. I'm sure under conversion guides there's both divx and SVCD --> DVD-r

I would do it this way, assuming you have a 2-disc SVCD to convert:

1. Extract the two mpeg files from the SVCD. Call them movie1.mpg and movie2.mpg

2. Open DVD2AVI and open movie1.mpg, the second part should be added automatically, if not add it yourself.

3. Make sure to check Demux MPEG Audio, and then save a project (F4).

4. Now you'll have a movie.d2v file and an audio file.

5. Fire up TMPGEnc and use the d2v file as your video source and the audio file as your audio source and convert as normal.

All you need to bring 2-3 SVCDmovies on DVD WITHOUT new encoding of the videostream (important to spare time!) is Roxios WinOnCd 6.0 DVD Edition. The program is easy to use and it just encodes the audiostream of the SVCDs so that u can burn a DVD with 3 SVCDs in about an hour. (Surely depends on what processor u have)
There are a lot of guides for this program on the net, just search in google, i have only a link for a german guide.
If you need help, let me know.
