Sure. You just have to set the temp folder of the newly installed eMule to the one with the files. Then restart eMule.

Or copy the files into the new temp folder.

Next release will be: La Cité Des Entfants Perdu (1995) + Making Of (Status: working on the subtitles)
Last release was: Svengali (1931)

if you are using emule, import using the tool... i think its tools>import partial files or something like that, its better than dropping them into your temp folder.

It takes a long time to do that. I used to do this only if there are ambiguous part file names.
Example: you are downloading something that has 005.part and one of your temp files has the same name.
But than again you could rename the temp file, I guess.

Or why is it better to import them instead?

a) any corruption it won't take AGES to start
b) converts old part styles from previous emules, mldonkey, edonkey, etc to the new version
c) reindexes and adds to the downloads.txt, history.

vs.

a) cheese it

With me it didn't take any time at all, and didn't lag out emule, whereas when emule used to pick up an entire temp folder it would freeze and be unusable until it had fully re-hashed and spat out any errors, which with the number of part files i had took hours :(

It was the other way around for me.
The import feature made the GUI non-responding and it took half an hour to get the files imported.

It should not freeze, because the hashing is handled by a thread.

The import tool definitely has not frozen on me, because you can carry on working whilst its running in the background. It should be updating all the time updating the import status and putting any errors out to the popup box.

Dropping in temp files are totally screwed up emule beyond belief though; it just hangs if it needs to rehash.

try a mod that uses the NiceHash code by CiccioBastardo:

current MorphXT and MorphXT based mods have it.
