Yup ; about same with me....

Only SOME of the real big sites where still Partially reachable ; went on all night......while my mule was happily sending out chunks...

Even kazaa was unaffected for as far as I could see in 30 secs

Ah, so I wasn't alone

HTTP would not work AT ALL, but FTP/emule was downing perfectly fine!!!

I could only access http://www.bbc.co.uk, temporarily

Presumed it was NTL being crap, but obviousley it was a global thing.

Wonder what happened exactly???

But man I was itching to get on HHAH/SR/FH after the outage, sad but addicted (thats me!!!)

Did a google/sky news/bbc news search and couldn't find any info on the matter.

Maybe it was just a UK problem, or was the world unable to access http last night?

Any-one know anything further.

Luckily I wasn't waiting on an ebay auction or owt, or I'd a been pissed at missing it?

I was informed by BlueYonder that some major backbone to the US went down, caused havoc and apparently had knock on effects, and yes, DNS servers seems to be shafted to, dunno whether it was directly related or not, but it affected all UK ISP's, maybe foreign ones too.

For the record, my mule kept on ticking but all else died.

Hiya Mr Bassline, I believe BT was not really affected as far as net goes, altho I heard they had many problems with voice calls across the pond.

Yeah, I think you people have been sniffing too much of the pot and smoking too much of the cocaine. Plus, all that alcohol is making you hallucinate.

makes a change for British Telecom to actually NOT be affected on the net for a change :D i knew sticking with em was better than changing to another ISP
