I bought a new PC about 3 months ago. It just happens that it freezes sometimes. It can go 2 or 3 days without doing it, or sometimes it happens 2 or 3 times in one day. I know that I should send it to the warranty, but it happens that I work with it and can´t afford to loose it for a few days. I tried updating the drivers of the graphical card and it didn´t work. Any sugestions?

Does simply freeze so that everything is still visible on the monitor but you can't move mouse or do anything?

That would indicate a hardware problem.

Everything is visible, mouse can't move, keyboard does nothing. If it´s hardware I´m fucked. :googley:

If you don't send it to warranty, the faulty hardware will f*ck your PC royally and then you can spend another amount of money to buy another new one. So: send it to warranty asap. And take some time off, take your gf on a roadtrip, broaden your horizon.

Just in case... I'd be backing up everything as soon as possible.

I have backups of everything. The problem is I can´t go on a roadtrip before I end this job, and I'll have no money at the end of the month either. So, the warranty is not an option for now. I guess I´ll just have to hope that the computer doesn't blow up until the month is over. A brand new PC... Fuck this. :suicide:

Anything in event viewer? Last time I had freezing issues one of the drives in my RAID 0 was almost dead... it finally died after about the 3rd freeze... lost everything, but only a few files weren't backed up.

Looks like a factory failure. You can get a new one for free if you put it into warranty now, but I understand your probs with that.

This can be a lot of things, most often for me, it has been a faulty psu; its either a cheap shit one or you have put too many usb, etc. devices on and its just overloaded.
