I just tried to convert my very first .mpeg to an .avi xvid/mp3 format. I tried to use virtualdub but didn't understand much, so I tried the much easier TMPGEnc. Works like a charm. Only problem is that I have no way of knowing what size the final file will be, and therefore don't know what % to change the compression to.
I've tried looking around at doom9.net but couldn't find anything for just what I need...
Or maybe there is another program where I can just set the filesize myself and the program choses compression rate thereafter..?
