I was just kicking back and playing around on the internet (like I spend way to much of my life doing) when all of a sudden I noticed that my computer started acting funny. I switch over to my eMule window and I was uploading at over 200 kB/s! It only lasted for a little less a minute or so, but how the hell could that happen? My bandwidth limit is 48 kB/s. Has anyone else had anything like this happen?

eMule speed measurment is often wrogn, especially if processor utilization is high or a lot of disk reading/writing takes place.

My avatar? Nah, that's from Battle Royale (the training video). That is the absolute cutest Asian girl ever!! I have such a (non-sexual) crush on her it's not funny.

I posted a couple of pictures of me in that other topic (Help on movie title), but I deleted them this morning. I realized just how badly I hijacked her topic and I felt really bad (I didn't mean to...honest). :(

I was going to, but I kept reading here and there about problems people were having with it. I decided to go the "safer" route. Heh...that worked out well. :P

Eh, it's been working fine since...I must have just happened to catch it getting a little glitchy for a few seconds.

Ahhh...if that is the case, then maybe I should go ahead and upgrade. Do you know if I have to do a fresh install or can I just upgrade? It's such a pain in the ass to have to import/move all of my damn files.

save your cryptkey, client, fakes, and ipfilter.

Get a new server.met from here. http://ed2k.2x4u.de/index.html

Just redo all the configs.

Apply.

Close emule and then replace all the files mentioned with the old ones.

Sounds easy enough. Btw, I have come to the conclusion that it's just the displayed speed spazzing out once in a while. It did it again (not quite as severe this time though) and I noticed that the total upload was a normal 42kB/s, but the individual uploads were showing higher amounts. I guess it's probably because I have DVD2SVCD/CCE running also. Memory hog.
