Anybody else have trouble with BT knocking the living crap out of your upload bandwidth?I would use it more but can't do it when I got stuff on release..a 2 k upload speed is pretty piss poor.I tried getting that Christmas massacre thing and it looks like everyone is at 97% with no one complete,I was pulling almost 70k on that file alone and then nothing. Now I am trying for that Ric Flair 8 disc collectors thingy which is like 6 gigs almost in size.Wish me luck  By the way I got that version of Texas Chainsaw and it was a TS.

What BT client are you using? Install something with upload cap options. Experimantal client or ABC work good for me. I noticed something weird, though. When both BT and eMule are running on my machine, together they use only 1/4 of my download bandwidth.

Using this one at the moment
BitTorrent-experimental-S-5.8.7-w32
It is just impossible to run both for me right now..if I wasn't releasing anything then I would just go ahead but I am so I can't.The very thing you were referring to is what I am experiencing...it is a newer prog though so I can imagine there are a few bugs under the mat. :) Other than that I say BT works like a charm..the only downside is finding torrent links to grab.I probably am just not looking in the right sites

Ever tried a program called Netpeeker or NetLimiter? It's a program you can limit any processes which Windows is running. It works great for stuff like BT.

offcourse.... the downside with such programs is that it can be very abused regarding p2p-programs :(

Some good horror stuff here: CrazeyMazey's

Make sure you have a pop-up stopper running when you visit!

suprnova.org is worth clawing through at least once daily. Lots of great stuff there.

Yeah, signed up on both when I got Bt.I have come to the conclusion though that I can only run one at a time..either mule or BT...If it was a normal file size it would have been done a week ago but since this file is like 5.8 gbs it is taking a while..was really cooking yesterday though with a d/l rate of 70 kb steadily transfering..I know that may not seem like much to some of you guys with better service but for me that is like lightning fast.
I use freesurfer for the popups. Is there a better prog than that to eliminate them?

For i.e. users I don't know why you wouldn't use google toolbar for popups...
