I just recently noticed that my clientid is lower than what it was a couple of days ago. For as long as I have had emule on my computer which is about a year the Id has always been about 3500000000, but as of yesterday it is 2686405698. I dont understand why it has gone down, does any one know what the problem is?

I havent change any of my settings or port numbers and upload at 11kbs. Just wondering if anyone here know why the id would drop.

Could be a number of things.

Firstly, and hopefully not, your isp maybe blocking ports. If this is the case, you may have trouble using emule. If you suspect they have change your TCP port.

If your behind a router, DMZ your pc so that there's no blocking. Ditto if you use XP, ensure that your internal firewall isn't switched on (second button on network neighbourhood, if there's a badly drawn padlock its been turned on and you need to disable it)

Try a few servers, some servers are just crap/play up.

Hey, what are you guys talking about?
Your ip can be either low or high. If it is low, then the number of digits is lower. If it is high, as in your case, then the number of digits is 10.
The only differentiation is between high and low. It does not matter what your id is, as long as it's high. It does not give you better server connections, higher queue ratings etc. It is counted on the basis of your ip, so everytime your ip changes, your id changes too, but it changes nothing, so I can't see what the problem is.

And also check the eMule FAQ page.

If your ID is High, you don't need to know that the ID is only a presentation of your IP address.

If OTOH, you have Low ID, then you have bigger problems than its value.
