First of all apologies to my betters for being an annoying noob.

I have just completed my first gknot rip, I followed the instructions almost exactly and got a 702 MB file (2 pass xvid). The only thing I didn't do was the compressibility check as this gave me an error "Failed to get data for 'max_bframes'". I already tried uninstalling and then installing the latest Gknot.

Is this normal, do other people put slightly less than 700 MB as the CD size just to be sure?

Or should I just go with it, I did a simulate in Nero and it didn't complain?

You'll need to change the settings in the 1st and 2nd pass in the codec settings

wat version of xvid are u using, AFAIK xvid 1.0 is not yet supported and you must use an earlier build. It's here in Xvid 1.0 though:

Yours will look a bit different. Make sure your not using a restricted profile.

I don't know which version I'm using, I have 5 xvid codecs installed? How do I tell which one I am using? It doesn't look like your screenshot.

OK I've uninstalled the gknot codec pack (1.3) and installed 1.6, I really should have checked that first. I'll re-do the rip once I've got 12 hours to spare (only got a 1 gig Athlon). BIG thx to PCA and Spud, its peeps like you that make this community so grrrreat! :beerchug: :beerchug:
