i use the program 'regcleaner', its not anitvirus/antitrojan, but its been usefull in getting rid of them, and all the assorted proggies that microsucks likes to run, messanger and autoupdate crap.

i see its downloadable from, but the page says 433kb, and the downloaD is 1.33mb? dont know whats up with that. may want to google up some places to get it.
good prog, but read the directions and back up. its a lot more user friendly than the regedit window's thingee.
hmmm, i was trying to get the prog, mine is a bit old, all the places seem not to have it available.

has it at 1.33 mb, too.'
in XP-
another thing u may want is use a selective os boot-up.
the boot.ini file is located(hidden attribute) in c:\
mine is something like
[boot loader]
timeout=11
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(2)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect
if u use mine, make sure u have a backup of yours.
mine just gives an 11 second choice on how to boot, and has the commands available for safe boot, diagnostic, buncha stuff.after 11 sec it boots up normally. it saved me after i ran an exe stupidly, it really fucked up my .sys files. pornsite keymaker, my ass.
using that 'remote assistance' in xp i use alot, not for remote assistance, but to use the system config utility.
