Hi am wondering if anyone can advise
I have downloaded a 2cd film with subs but there is a problem with the subs as they 'run out' a few minutes early on the 1st cd and start too early on cd 2. They are out by several minutes and was wondering just how to sort out, is it easy?
TIA

there are two easy ways that I know of to fix this.

1. Run it with Koala Player http://www.koala.pl/Index2.php?page=Index&lang=en
There you can very easily adjust the timecodes for the subtitles foreward or backwards. When you do it this way you can adjust it just little by little and try it out to see if it's right. Then just save it when done.
Be sure to get the 2.5 version though, as there is no working crack for the 2.6 XP version (that I have found atleast)

2. Do a search on your computer for a file called 'subresync.exe'. If you got VobSub installed (most people do) it will be in that directory. It should be fairly easy to adjust it there too, although I haven't tried it myself.

The timing is otherwise accurate, right? And the subs are in text format?

If yes then you'll have to:
- fix CD2 subs to last 5 min of CD1:
-- if CD1 is 47 mins long add 47-5=42 (wow) mins to entire CD2 subs
-- move them forward/backward until they fit perfectly to that 5 mins

- join CD1 and CD2 subs into a new file (you can do it with any text editor) and check that they match to entire CD1

- split the new subs onto 2 CDs - check the length of CD1 in frames and split on that frame

There are a lot of tools for subtitle editing, check on doom9. I usually stick to SubConv (Ultimate Subtitle Converter) or Subtitle Workshop.

Hope this helps

@John_Doe: same here, I see you on POWER-Donkey Server (64.246.48.20) using Maella 4.1 with low ID, downloading Forbidden Zone. Your IP is in 80.212.*.* range.

So is it you or is it another John Doe?
