1) Make sure you have a DVD400i or 400c burner
2) Go to http://dvdpro.club.st/firmware/BENQ_FW.htm and download the WinFlash.exe file (under Flash Tools)
3) Download the B3HC.CVT firmware under the DWB22A column
4) Use WinFlash to change DVD Burner from HP to Adapi with the B3HC.CVT firmware
5) Download the B3JCX (newest firmware) from Benq's website: LINK
6) Enjoy DL, DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, etc...

it can shave your testicals at twelve paces.

No, it can go slightly faster and be region free but no, it can't do anything particularly good.

Pioneer 108 was the first dual layer burner, i can't remember if the 107 could be flashed to do that too.

106 and 105 don't do much iirc.

What's the difference between a cd/dvd burner and a cd/dvd writer? I am looking online for laptops and I saw an option for a cd/dvd burner. Then it said I could upgrade to a cd/dvd writer and it gave some different info and stuff and it was a higher price. What's the difference here? I thought a burner and writer were the same thing.
