Someone please release it! I'm dying to see Coffin Joe films. I've heard so much about them over the years, but never gotten the chance to see one.

I'll give Carlos a shot at it if he wants since he is new on the board.I got mine already ripped though if he wants to start on maybe the other parts of the series instead.I only got at midnight and Awakening of the Beast. But there is a whole slew of them out there.Almost like the Naschy Werewolf movies(wish they released a box set of that one like they did Coffin Joe)

ok, specs will be:

length: 82min 1sec
audio: 48000Hz, VBR MP3 (LAME), 76 kbps (avg), mono
video: 608x384, 23.976 fps, 1104 kbps
compression: DIVX 5.0.5 Pro, Bidirectional Encoding on, GMC off, QP off, Max Keyframe interval 125, psy 'light'
from gordian knot: 0.197 bits/p*f, 73% of 0.269 compreeibility test, 5% used

note that audio on DVD is AC3 2.0 192kbps but since the source was mono I mixed channels into one (in fact there isn't any 'visible' difference and I think 2.0 here is just doubled mono)

sorry for this technical stuff but I haven't compress many movies and I want to do it right
any comments? if not I'm going to compress it tonight :D

Looks about the same specs as my rip..the audio and codec version are higher.Everything seems real good to me as far as I can tell..As I recall though(this is a few years back)This movie was heavily interlaced so you might want to through a deinterlace filter on it.
I got Awakening already ripped....Definately not as good as the others...there are some good scenes though.Suffers from the same problem as the other though..no english subs...I may have had a problem ripping them at the time not sure why I got the movie and no subs included.

is this still being shared? Could I perhaps convince one of to put it up for a direct link, or maybe mail it to me?

You need the movie or the subs?
I can put up both for you and you can grab them the old fashioned way like before..don't think you'll get very good chances of getting it off mule from me

I am sharing both the movie and the subs.

I have set the subs to high.

Hope this helps.

sorry for the delay

I've got subs shared in another client (and only subs) so it should be easy to get them now

as for movie, incidentally I deleted it about a month ago (don't ask me how I did that, I don't know  )
I'm still getting it, but lately arkhane@FH pointed out that the encoding is fooked up few times in the movie

I don't know what went wrong, still it can't be that way, so another rip will come

EDIT: btw. Dxa, how about releasing Awakening of the Beast? It would be really great
